Display Your Story

Donna's 2014 Panel

On my Pinterest account I have a board called,  Display Your Story which is a board where I collect ideas for creating and displaying those photos I find. I think it’s important to not only find them but you need to show them off.

When a friend of mine showed me this display a few years ago, I just had to make one for my brother’s, my sons, my dad and my sister-in-law. From there it snowballed  as I started creating more for my sister-in-law’s family. It’s a great way to show off the generations in your family. Again I use my program; Forever. This was created by using several layers of designs and then adding the wording. The program actually comes with “elements” that include various sayings. Once you have the background created, all you need to do is add the photographs, put a bit of shading or blending to the photo edges and then entering the names for each of the subjects.

As I mentioned I created this one for my sister-in-law; Donna, but another I created was for my husband Kevin. This one shows him in one corner with his five children below .  Once you have your finished product it’s just a matter of getting it printed. Forever.com does do die cut photo printing and they provide a wide range of sizes and shapes. There are other companies that do similar print. One that I know of is called; Ellisi Gifts that has quite a variety of shapes, sizes and media. Even hardwood and stone. But it’s getting easier and easier to find places to make something like this.

Whatever you make I’m  sure your family will appreciate it. It’s time to get those photos out of the computer and put them out on display from everyone to enjoy.
