#HowToKeepPeopleHome and What I’m Going To Do

I just arrived home yesterday after driving from Arizona. Last Thursday, my father had a stroke, and now I’m in the process of self-isolating so I can visit him. So it seems like the perfect opportunity to make a plan. A genealogy, DNA, and photo plan.

I had a list of things I wanted to do when I was in Arizona, and some of that list didn’t get done. So now I can make amends and add a few new things.

One of the things I missed while I was driving home was the 24-hour Marathon put on by Legacy Family Tree. If you check out the Legacy Family Tree webinar page, you’ll see that it shows as “Coming Soon.” I hope that it will be up shortly and I’ll let you know. But in the meantime, I’m going to watch LucidChart and Other Tools for Genetic Genealogy which was presented by Blaine Bettinger. I usually use Scapple for my genetic genealogy, but there’s no harm in learning about something new. Both of these webinars are FREE, but if you decided to get a membership, then you can watch whatever you want whenever you want.

There is also a new webinar announcement from NYG&B. From March 17 through April 3, 2020, the NYG&B will be offering free webinars—nearly every day—for our community.  You can check the schedule HERE.

I will be posting other webinars and ideas for things to do while you are shut in so stay tuned.
