Last week, I was at RootsTech 2025… wow what a great event. I won’t tell you about that yet, but I must tell you about this photo. I’m part of Geneabloggers, and each year at RootsTech, we get together for our photo.
I uploaded that photo to my FOREVER account yesterday. This morning, I had a chance to take a closer look at it. One of the add-ons I’ve purchased is FOREVER facial recognition, and I was happily surprised that it had identified people because I had facial recognition.
See those circles to the side? Forever Facial Recognition did that. Below the circles, you’ll see that faint line that tells me that it found other faces. Now, all I have to do is identify those people. Then, it will group this photo with any others I have.
I have about 68,000 items in my collection, and I’ve been busily tagging and identifying them over the years. Then, facial recognition came along. It organized my photos in hours. This task would have probably taken me a lifetime to do. I tell my clients to just buy it for a year.
We live in extraordinary times. I know AI can be scary for some, but I think it’s times like this that AI is magic.
