I’m watching Mondays with Myrt streaming from the FamilySearch Library, writing this blog, and thinking about finally getting my packing done for the trip to Salt Lake City.
Blogger beads, check… laptop, check… list of items to search out at the library, check…. snacks, check…. and the list gets longer. Oh, and I also have to get all the instructions to the person who is taking care of my best friend, Cali. She’s been walking all over the suitcase on the bed. In case you don’t know who Cali is, she’s my 9-year-old Morkie (it’s her birthday today).
Have you chosen all your classes? I’m still putting some final touches on my list. If you haven’t signed up for RootsTech, there’s still time. It starts this Thursday, and it’s both online and in-person.
If you’ve signed up to receive email notifications, you may see a couple of emails from me about the good deals I’ve come across, because you know there will be many. If you haven’t signed up yet but would like to, you can do that HERE.
Here’s my first discount offer, and it’s coming from The Family History Hound Dog Park. Everything in the park is 20% off with promo code ROOTSTECH26 at checkout.
If you’re going to RootsTech in person, drop by the media area and say hi.

Have you found the Forever Facial Recognition can accurately find the face of a named individual when she is at various ages between about 5 and 50 years old?
Art, I’m actually quite amazed at how well the facial recognition does. Connecting the age range. Or sometimes you’ll have two circles of the same person younger and older but there are clue that you know they are they same person so you can merge them into one person. One of my clients said that it organized her photos in 5 hours that she’d been trying to do for 5 years.
Don’t forget chargers & connecting cables for laptop, phone, etc. Maybe also a power bar on extension cord to connect several chargers simultaneously.
Thanks Art, yes I have a zipper container with various charge cords as well as 3 battery backups.. That’s my biggest problem going through my batteries when recording interviews.
