Today marks the one year anniversary of Hound on the Hunt. I remember the date because I started the blog the same day as we had the celebration of life for my mom; Eleanor Thompson nee Middlebrough. It felt appropriate as she often helped me with my genealogy by telling me stories and providing names and dates when she could.
I love writing the blog although, I have to admit there are times that I have difficulty thinking what I should write about. Quite often I blog about DNA or my search to find the answer to the Beaton/Batten mystery or just about genealogy in general. Whatever the subject I’ve enjoyed the last year and I hope that at least one person is following along; but if not, it will provide insight to my sons about how I spent their inheritance on DNA kits and my love of genealogy.
Here’s to another year for Hound on the Hunt and perhaps this will be the year that I break down a brick walls or find the answer to the mystery.
