When I Die Important Documents

You know the old saying; You can’t avoid death or taxes. This isn’t a topic that many of us want to talk about, but when I heard this idea, I thought, “I’m going to do that.”

Why not create an album in your FOREVER account called; “When I die” to hold all those important documents that you wonder, “where should I put this so someone can find it?”

So I’ve created the folder shown above. Here I can put those documents I think my sons will need. It will be a year tomorrow since my dad passed away and it’s really become apparent to me that you need to have something like this so that you can help the people you leave behind. My brothers and I have been lucky because my dad was organized (and in fact, my mom was too) because he did have a folder where he kept the important papers we would need to deal with his estate. There have been a few things that weren’t covered, but for the most part, it’s made the whole tidying up process so much easier on all of us.

So here’s a list of some of the things I’m going to put in this folder;

  • A copy of my will (You can prepare your own will by purchasing a Will Kit on Amazon, US version, or Cad version. You can also sometimes get a free will kit for a local Memorial company. I know I did, and of course, you can go to a lawyer.
  • My DNA will
  • My FOREVER Storage Will
  • Messages to loved ones
  • A list of accounts and subscriptions to close. Having a list like this anytime is a good idea. That way, you can preempt those pesky auto-renews. I know you can typically turn them off, but sometimes I want them to renew, but I’d just like to know when they’ll hit my account.

I’m sure I’ll think of other things to put in my “When I die” album, but that’s what I’ve got for now. You can also find books on this subject on Amazon. HERE you’ll find my search, which includes a good book called; I’m Dead Now What.

If you can think of some other ideas I’d love to hear them.

If you don’t already have a FOREVER account please accept my invitation HERE.
