Too Many Tabs Tuesday

The tools and tabs listed here may not be new to you, but they are new to me, or I’ve forgotten them and found them again, lol

This post and the many posts I hope to write will be dedicated to all the blogs and tools I’d like to keep for myself, but perhaps they would also be helpful to you. Some weeks, the list may be short, and some may be long. It’s my way of cleaning up all the tabs I open, thinking I will return, only to find myself with too many open tabs. At today’s writing, I have thirteen (not many because I was away celebrating my cousin’s 65th birthday this weekend). Still, I won’t write about them all as some are multiple tabs open on Ancestry and MyHeritage.

  1. Working It Out – written by my friend Jenny Horner Hawran, whom I met at RootsTech many years ago. We became fast friends, and I felt special that I was one of the first genie friends she shared this with many years ago. (If you want to read from the beginning, you can find that post HERE.
  2. This Woman Celebrates Deceased Individuals in the Most Amazing Way I loved this blog from MyHeritage because it talks about genealogy and food, and this topic is near to my heart as I work on my own family cookbook. Check out my series, Cooking with Family.
  3. Hidden Roots in Your DNA: Adoptee Success & Surprise Discoveries – This webinar was on Legacy Family Tree Webinars this past week, but I’m catching up after a weekend with cousins and checking out the upcoming webinars. This webinar is free until September 30th. Just as an FYI, if you sign up for a subscription, you have access all the time, and the big bonus this year is you’ll have access to all of Elizabeth Shown Mills’ webinars. I could listen to her for hours.
  4. Register for RootsTech – RootsTech 2024 registration opened yesterday, and the first 1000 people who sign up get a collectors pin. But even if you miss out, you shouldn’t miss this event. This is the largest genealogy conference in the world.
