I started making Rum Cake probably just over fifteen years ago. I actually had bought a Rum Cake and had asked the lady if she could sell one more, or if she didn’t have time, could she perhaps give me her recipe. She said it was a secret family recipe. My Auntie Winnie took one taste of the one I bought and came to the rescue and said, “it’s a secret my %&@, it’s just easy to make.” Then she gave me this recipe.
