Expand Your Genealogy Education

I’m always trying to learn as much as I can about my two favorite subjects; Genealogy and DNA. Here are two sites that can help expand your knowledge in the new year.

Genealogy

The first is  Family Tree Webinars from Legacy Family Tree. Just recently they updated their site with their 2017 webinar calendar. I checked the lineup and signed up for every webinar that I thought would be of interest to me. The great thing is that you are able to sign up for multiple webinars at the same time. The webinars don’t cost anything to watch and are held every Wednesday, and there are bonus days that happen from time to time.

You can participate on the day of the recording and not only learn something new, but you’ll have a chance at the give-a-ways. If something happens and you can’t join the webinar at the scheduled time you are able to listen to the broadcast for one week for FREE. If you want to listen after that, then you’ll have to get a subscription which is something I recently did. With a subscription, you have access to the webinars at any time, and there are exclusive webinars that are only available to subscribers.

DNA

Now for the second site. If you missed the 2016 International Genetics Conference this past October, like I did then you will be happy to know that the recordings from those sessions are now available for purchase. You can purchase just the ones you want for $10.00 each or you can purchase all 19 for $99.00.  The lineup or speakers included; CeCe Moore, Blaine T. Bettinger, Kitty Munson Cooper, Maurice Gleeson and so much more. For more information, go to the International Genetics Conference website. I purchased all 19 sessions so I know what I’ll be doing over the next few weeks.
